ANA Detect is a screening test for the qualitative detection of autoantibodies (IgG) against com- ponents of the cell nucleus and cytoplasm. It is used for the diagnosis of inflammatory rheu- matic connective tissue diseases.
Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) are found in sys- temic autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Sjögren’s syn- drome, Sharp syndrome (mixed connective tissue disease), polymyositis/dermatomyositis, and progressive systemic scleroderma (PSS) with CREST syndrome. ANA thus act as partial markers for the individual connective tissue diseases.
The combination of 26 human recombinant and highly purified native antigens in ANA Detect guarantees excellent diagnostic specificity in conjunction with high clinical sensitivity. Easy handling and outstanding performance make this ELISA the screening test of choice when a systemic autoimmune disease is suspected.
Each individual well of the ANA Detect is coated with all 26 antigens. Patient samples that test positive with ANA Detect should be examined further with the ANAcombi ELISA. |
