| Apart from Cardiolipin antibodies, plenty of patients
suffering from primary and secondary antiphospholipid
syndrome manifest autoantibodies directive
against additional phospholipids: phosphatidyl serine,
phosphatidyl inositol und phosphatidic acid. The association
of those antibodies with thrombosis, thrombocytopenia
and recurrent fetal losses has been subject
of various evaluations.
The Anti-Phospholipid Screen assay is coated with
phosphatidyl serine, phosphatidyl inositol, phosphatidic
acid and cardiolipin and permits a quantitative
determination of IgG and/or IgM antibodies. Further
differentiation and typing should be carried out by
using the individual test kits for the detection of IgG
and IgM autoantibodies that are targeted against the
individual phospholipids. All test are additionally coated
with human β2-Glycoprotein I. |
